Introducing the Remington Model 783 Bolt-Action Rifle

by Eric Conn   |  January 17th, 2013 1

Remington was on hand at the 2013 SHOT Show in Las Vegas for the launch of their new Model 783, which has been in the works for two years now. Built especially to be a durable and accurate part of the Remington family, the 783 bridges the gap between the Model 770 and 700. It features a three-pound factory trigger that can be adjusted up to five pounds. Check out the 783 live from the SHOT Show floor.

Unless Freedom Group has somehow found religion, I'm going to remain a little skeptical. Even the best design can be trashed by poor quality control. I think everyone would be overjoyed if Remington could consistently produce a tight action and a straight/smooth tube.
