When OSG senior digital editor Lynn Burkhead visited with JJ Reich of Federal Premium Ammunition at Industry Day at the Range, the much talked about 224 Valkyrie cartridge got a closer look prior to the start of SHOT Show 2018.
Introduced to the superb new round a few weeks ago on a Texas whitetail hunt, Burkhead got a full fledged update from Reich on the versatile 224 Valkyrie cartridge being officially unveiled at SHOT Show after recent new round approval by the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI).
What does the 224 Valkyrie do? With far less felt recoil than other similar rounds, a new era of affordable long-range tack-driving shooting is opened up by the cartridge.
