New for 2021: Browning X-Bolt Pro McMillan & Recoil Hawg

Browning's X-Bolt Pro family has grown in 2021 with the addition of the Pro McMillan. An innovative muzzle break — the Recoil Hawg — also joins the line.

By now, Browning's X-Bolt Pro Series certainly needs no introduction. With instant recognition, the rifle line has quickly become one of the most popular of its kind. For 2021, the company is building on that with several extensions to the X-Bolt Pro line. In this video, North American Whitetail's Laden Force talks with Browning's Rafe Nielsen about one of them — the X-Bolt Pro McMillan.

A precision bolt-action rifle that is designed for both the field and the range, the Pro McMillan is loaded with features.

X-Bolt Pro Pro McMillan

  • McMillan Game Scout carbon fiber stock with Sonoran Carbon Ambush finish
  • Cerakote Carbon Gray finish on barrel, bolt and action
  • Skip fluted, sporter contour barrel
  • Spiral fluted bolt and fluted bolt knob
  • 20 MOA Picatinny optics rail with integrated bubble level
  • Picatinny accessory rail
  • Quick detach attachments

Recoil Hawg

Browning entered 2021 with thoughts of reducing muzzle jump, an import aspect of keeping the shooter on target, as well as gaining target acquisition for follow-up shots. Enter the Recoil Hawg — a muzzle break that will reduce recoil up to 73 percent depending on your caliber. The product features specifically designed directional porting to blow gases up and to the sides, minimizing dust signature. Available in Matte Black, Burnt Bronze and Silver.

Venison Pastrami Recipe

Skip the deli and make your own pastrami from whitetails, mule deer, elk or other cuts of venison. The process is simple, though it does take some time for the meat to brine and smoke. This technique also works great with goose or ducks breasts as well.
