As hunters, we usually head afield with a binocular and rangefinder strapped to our chest in some fashion. I am a big fan of bino harnesses. Let’s just say mine gets used-frequently. Attached to my harness is an additional rangefinder pouch and I know countless other hunters who share a similar setup. Although, there are a few hunters out there who seem to be getting away from the additional bulk of strapping another pouch to their chest. They're doing this by carrying binoculars that have range-finding capabilities.

Now, thanks to Bushnell, you can take quality, high-definition glass into the field and leave that rangefinder pouch at home. The Bushnell Fusion X 10x42 binocular features the company’s High-Definition Optical System and ActivSync Display. The laser will accurately range your quarry out to one mile while the ActivSync will automatically change for viewing display for black to red, depending on light, to ensure easy viewing when in the field.

You can set the rangefinder to register ballistic ranges in either bow or rifle modes. This ensures accurate distances in the moment of truth no matter what weapon you are using.

This binocular was designed to operate in the field under the harshest conditions hunters can find: The EXO Barrier lens protection keeps your lenses clean and damage-free in any situation while the IPX7 rating ensures that the elements won’t damage the glass or the electronics.

Let’s talk about the pricing. Many brands have great options for range-finding binos, but their price tags are usually out of reach of the common hunter. The Bushnell Fusion X 10x42s are retailing for $700. Now I know that may still seem expensive for some, but in comparison to other models, and looking at the features offered by this binocular, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal.

If you are ready to tidy up that chest rig and reduce bulk by changing to a range-finding binocular, make sure the check out the Bushnell Fusion X 10x42 binocular.
