Bow: (Photo courtesy of Mathews Archery) Mathews Lift 29.5
The 2024 Lift from Mathews debuts the new SwitchWeight-X cam and carries over the Resistance Phase Dampening limbs from last year’s popular Phase 4. But the most exciting change is the axle system, which is now mounted on the outside of the limbs instead of through them, a move designed to improve stability. The Lift 29.5 has a 6-inch brace height, weighs 3.99 pounds, has a draw-length range of 24.5 to 30 inches, and an IBO speed of 348 fps. Price: $1,330; mathewsinc.com

Crossbow: (Photo courtesy of TENPOINT) TENPOINT TRX 515
What’s the fastest crossbow of them all? As of this writing, it’s the TRX 515, which clocks a blazing 515 feet per second. Beyond the speed is a top-tier hunting package with features like the Twin Riser Technology and Zero Trac barrel, which are designed to be more rigid and reduce friction between the arrow shaft and barrel. The TRX 515 also sports the ACU-Lok scope bridge, strengthening the scope mounting platform, and the excellent ACU-Slide cocking system. The crossbow weighs 7.2 pounds without accessories. $3,450 (with accessories); tenpointcrossbows.com

The new Match Grade Series is available in some of Easton’s most popular arrows, including the Full Metal Jacket and Axis. Match Grade Series arrows have premium components including optional aluminum, aluminum/steel, and steel/titanium half-outs in weights of 55 to 150 grains, and they undergo a meticulous five-point straightness check. $180; eastonarchery.com
Broadhead: (Photo courtesy of Wasp Archery) Wasp Jak-X Velocity
The Wasp Jak-X Velocity broadhead is a 3-blade mechanical head optimized for today’s high-performance crossbows. It borrows from the proven Wasp Jak Hammer design, but is enhanced with thicker, more durable blades and a design tweak that keeps the blades from opening in flight. The Jak-X is rated for speeds up to 425 feet per second, and boasts a 1 ¾-inch cutting diameter. $55/per 3; wasparchery.com
Sight: (Photo courtesy of Burris) Burris Oracle X
The Oracle has proven itself to be one of the most reliable range-finding bow sights on the market. With the Oracle X scope, crossbow shooters can get the same advantages. The Oracle X provides an instant and exact range to the target, including angle compensation and an aiming point. It also allows shooters to pre-program two arrow setups to provide aiming solutions for your preferred arrow and broadhead. $1,200; burrisoptics.com
Accessory: (Photo courtesy of Pelican) Pelican Air Bow Case
When you’re traveling for a hunt, the Pelican Air provides peace of mind that your bow and equipment are securely stored and—at least likely—will still be on target when you arrive at camp. The Air is 40% lighter than the competition to minimize oversized baggage fees, but has wheels for easy transport. It sports 6 TSA-approved latches and 4 stainless-steel lock hasps. $495; pelican.com
