This trip started yesterday and was a complete testament to Murphy's law! My hunting buddy didn't show up for our flight, my luggage keys were on my car's key ring that was left with my car, my plane sat on the runway with no air-conditioning for two and a half hours and then they asked everyone to de-board... This is actually when the trip took a turn for the better! I got re-booked on a flight the following day (today) and I got bumped to business class for the ride to Peru! I got to sleep another night in my own bed and I returned at four this morning to try it all again! This time everything went smooth and I had a lovely flight to Atlanta where I had a great lay over and a couple beers before getting on my final plane to Lima! I guess everything happens for a reason because today I am genuinely excited to start my Peruvian adventure where as yesterday I was in a really bad mood! I'll be hunting Peruvian whitetail and staying with the villagers at 14,000 feet! I have Alps Mountaineering gear to keep me nice and warm and comfortable and beyond that, the rest is yet to be seen!
