The 2025 Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona was filled with useful and innovative gear. We combed the vendors to find the latest and greatest in overlanding products. Here’s a run-down of what we found:

Storyteller Overland EPIC

Making a rather notable statement up front and center at Expo West was Storyteller Overland’s appropriately-named EPIC. Built on a 4x4 Kenworth chassis with a 6.7L Cummins, 44” tires, front and rear lockers, 50:1 crawl ratio and King suspension all the way around, it’s a luxury RV that’s surprisingly capable for such a large vehicle. With 1,800 miles of range on a full tank of diesel, just shy of 2,000 watts of solar and a fully-insulated four-season design, it’s up for the adventure no matter where you might want to take it. $800k | storytelleroverland.com

REDARC GoBlock

Bridging the gap between portable power stations and auxiliary vehicle batteries, up front and center in the REDARC booth at Overland Expo was their new GoBlock and its available PowerDock. No slouch when it comes to capacity, the GoBlock itself is a 100 Ah battery capable of powering just about anything you take on the road, from fridges and lighting to inverters and compressors. Paired with the PowerDock, it gains the ability to interface with your vehicle’s alternator and draw power at up to 50 amps – recharging from empty in around two hours. With power inputs and outputs galore, the ability to be monitored and controlled via Bluetooth and deployable carry handles, the GoBlock is the next evolution in portable power for those who work and play in the outdoors. $2,299 | redarcelectronics.com

PullKitchen

A self-contained full kitchen setup, PullKitchen unveiled their redesigned All-In-One Kitchen Unit. The 200 lb. slide-out kitchen is bolted down in a bed or on a trailer and slides out to deploy in multiple sections with its sink and stove centrally located. Hiding 6 gallons of on-board water, integrated LED lighting, slide-out cutting board/prep area and 4 cubic feet of food and utensil storage, its dual 20,000 BTU propane burners are the star of the show. Built for the wear and tear associated with off-road travel, PullKitchen’s construction heavily utilizes rivets instead of welding or threaded fasteners. When nuts and bolts are required, you’ll find castle nuts and locking pins, meaning this unit is built for the long-haul. $4,980 | pullkitchen.com

TRAVOCA Fridge/Freezers

A new brand debuting at Overland Expo West, TRAVOCA unveiled a full line of dual-zone fridge/freezers and portable power systems to run them. With an elegant aesthetic that sets them apart from many utilitarian-looking camp fridges on the market, their three-way lids open from either side or come off completely while a removable divider gives the option to designate which half operates as a fridge and which half a freezer. From the tech side, control can be managed directly or via Bluetooth and TRAVOCA opted to use a top-of-the-line Toshiba 65 watt compressor paired with vacuum-insulated foam panels to increase efficiency, giving an expected run time of around 18 hours when plugged into a 1500 Wh power station. TRAVOCA will be launching fridges in sizes from 25-60 quarts via pre-sale during the summer of 2025. $649-899 | travoca.com

JackRabbit XG Pro

Not your bog-standard e-bike, JackRabbit dispenses with the pretext of pedals and gears for a simple, robust and lightweight way to go further in the outdoors. New for 2025 is the XG Pro, with a 749 watt motor in the rear hub and expandable power options, it’ll do 24+ miles per hour and go 48+ miles on a charge while weighing in at just 37 lbs. Wide, knobby tires do surprisingly well on sand and snow while the slightly-larger-than-BMX size stows easily in most vehicles and can be quickly configured to be completely flat. With high bars and suspension integrated into the seat post, its diminutive size belies how comfortable it is for even larger adults. $2,250 | jackrabbit.bike

U-Haul Toy Hauler

Before the official open of Overland Expo West, I spied what I assumed was a spoof product on display. Adorned with orange stickers over gleaming galvanized steel was a rather substantial flat-bed car trailer with a matching U-Haul-stickered overland rig sitting atop it. With the show in full swing, I turned out to be mistaken, as U-Haul now has a trailer far more capable than any they’ve offered in the past. With a 3155 lb. empty weight, the Toy Hauler can carry up to 6845 lbs, has drive-over fenders and a 16’ deck that fits cargo widths up to 98” between the rails. Dwarfing the car hauler they’ve employed for the last 40 years, it accommodates up to 177” wheelbase and has a  multitude of tie-down points. With 400 trailers already in circulation, a total of 5000 will be stationed around the nation by the end of the year. Starting at $89.95/day | uhaul.com

Mosko Moto Hood Tail Bag

With a deep clamshell design and full-welded TPU exterior, the 24-liter Hood Tail Bag is water- and dust-proof and glove-friendly with simple buckles instead of zippers. A Molle-style panel provides attachment points on the bag’s top as well as an integrated helmet hook. Loops accommodate a cable lock to keep things secure and a removable pillion pad offers a bit of back support for your passenger. Unlatch the buckles and flip back the lid to reveal zippered storage in the top of the lid as well as a cavernous expanse inside, with configurable hook-and-loop dividers creating defined spaces for gear. Providing protection from impacts and the elements without the drawbacks of rigid luggage (ie won’t dent or crack), the Hood Tail Bag is able to be affixed to any motorcycle with a rear rack. $369 | moskomoto.com

Suzuki Cycles DR-Z4S

On display to the public for the first time was a small fleet of DR-Z4S demo units available for Expo attendees to test ride. More than just a fuel-injected update to the classic DR-Z400S, this new generation is equipped with KYB adjustable upside-down forks and fully-adjustable rear suspension, switchable ABS, three selectable ride modes, four traction control settings, a low-draw LED projector headlight and a vast number of tweaks and revisions throughout the frame, engine, cooling system and rider controls. $8,999 | suzukicycles.com

Engel Fridge Slides

Engel’s new low-profile Tilt Fridge Slide stands apart from the crowd with no straps or clamps needed, instead using specially-designed feet to quickly lock and unlock from the slider base. Compatible with a number of e-cooler brands like Dometic, Waeco and ARB, it has one-button operation and extends to nearly double its length. Most notable is the location of Engel’s tilt pivot, located dead center of the fridge itself, allowing the slide base and cooler to be mounted as much as 15” deeper into a vehicle while providing full operation. At under 2” tall and just 31 lbs., this ultra low-profile slide system might be just the ticket for securing and using your portable refrigerator in tall rigs and trailers. $599 | engelcoolers.com

KC HiLites Camping Light Series

Debuting a trio of non-automotive lighting products, KC is now offering a camping light series with a 1k lumen headlamp, a 3k lumen flashlight and a mondo 7k lumen flashlight. In addition to multiple lighting modes, a handy feature of the headlamp is its quick detach from its elastic headband and capability to stick to any surface its built-in magnets can grab onto, providing light exactly where needed. All three lights are rechargeable by USB-C and the flashlights also feature a power out port which might be very handy in a pinch. $49-79 | kchilites.com

In response to continued inquiries from folks in the hunting, fishing and camping community who wanted functional swing-out cargo carrying but didn’t need one of RiG’d’s signature spare tire mounts, the RambleSwing Pro provides a modular system for mounting a wide variety of accessories like tables for food and game prep, fresh water storage and mounts for volatiles like fuel and propane that need to be carried on the outside of the vehicle. ‘Ambidextrous’ in design, the RambleSwing Pro can be mounted to swing left or right, has locking points at 90 and 120 degrees of swing, carries up to 350 lbs. and is built right here in the USA. $849 | rigdsupply.com

Overland(ish) New Generation Basecamp Insulated Tent

With simple hub-style setup and tear-down, Overland(ish) debuted the latest generation of their four-season Basecamp insulated tents at this year’s Expo. Claiming the thickest insulation on the market, Overland(ish) sandwiches three layers of insulation inside its waterproof shell and uses four layer windows (bug screen, clear poly, insulated covers and exterior storm flaps) and sealable roof vents to let you batten down the hatches in bad weather. The new full-coverage rainfly further beefs up weather-handling capabilities while providing a small vestibule. Other improvements shown at Expo West include a zip-out 5” tub floor, oversized lower vents for better passive cooling and larger 6.25” heater/air conditioner ports. $1170 | overlandish.com

SeaSucker Devos LightRanger Mount

More than just a suction cup mount, the SeaSucker system uses a tiny on-board manual pump to vacuum itself to windows, doors and just about any non-porous surface you can find. With a wide array of accessories already in the SeaSucker system, new for 2025 is a mount designed to work with the Devos LightRanger series of LED camp lights. Simple and robust, the mount itself costs $75 and allows the Devos light to be secured to a vehicle or camper when wind and weather might defeat its standard tripod mount. $75 | seasucker.com

Rugged Radios Rambler G4 GMRS Mobile

The newly-debuted Rambler G4 GMRS Radio uses a Mitsubishi transmitter to crank out 46.8 watts of constant broadcasting power. Add to that a refined display and interface, a new magnetic-mount hand mic and multiple mounting options and the Rambler seems to be a solid combination of power, usability and affordability from one of the big names in radio communications. In addition to the classic U-bracket mount, the Rambler also features AMPS mounting points that enable the use of RAM-style mounts. Also available are many vehicle-specific mounting kits and a full line of accessories from headsets and antennas to external speakers. $259 | ruggedradios.com

Lone Peak Dig Stick Camp Shovel

A brand known for their affordable and customizable pop-top camping toppers, the folks at Lone Peak showed off a not-so-serious, serious product. The Dig Stick is a full-size metal camp shovel crafted entirely from Grade 5 Titanium, meaning it tips the scales at just 20 ounces. The type of project that can only come about when avoiding actual work, founder Kyle Hart got a wild hare to design this ultralight camp tool. In his words, needlessly exotic but ultimately cool. The Dig Stick will be available for purchase in summer 2025. $200 | lonepeakoverland.com
