As my SHE Expeditions hunt was coming to a close I started to realize that with my dream of shooting a bushbuck on this trip was getting more and more unrealistic.
The wind had picked up and was gusting incredibly hard, it was definately not bushbuck weather so I decided to change the plan.
We had been hunting with only one goal for days and with that goal now fading away we had to go with plan B. Tollie was nice enough to let me switch to hunting a white springbok but by this point we only had one day to make it happen.
We set out in the morning while everyone else relaxed and drove around until we spotted a small group of them and then got out and went for a "walk"... The walk turned into a crawl and the crawl turned into a run and then back to a walk and then repeated all over again before we finally got my white springbok.

The wind was so strong and unpredictable that even when we got close enough to take a shot the wind was taking the bullet a full four feet left or right and I would have had a better chance of hitting the springbok if I was throwing rocks!
It all came together at the end and I ended up making a good shot at last and took a great trophy white springbok.
