Kevin Steele
Kevin Steele is the publisher of Petersen’s HUNTING and the producer of Petersen’s Hunting Adventures. He is also the publisher and editor emeritus of Guns & Ammo. A veteran of the shooting, hunting and outdoor industry for more than forty years, Steele has written hundreds of articles on firearms, shooting and hunting.
He began his hunting career nearly a half-century ago atop his father’s shoulders as they ran beagle hounds on cottontail rabbits and snowshoe hares. In the course of his career, Steele has hunted on four continents including twenty African safaris, and has taken more than sixty big game species.
Craig Boddington
Unarguably one of the most experienced hunters of his generation, Craig Boddington was born in Kansas where his early big game hunting experience included whitetails and then mule deer and antelope in Wyoming and Colorado. Following his graduation from the University of Kansas on a NROTC scholarship, he received a regular commission in the United States Marine Corps.
In 1979 Craig joined Petersen Publishing Company where he served on Guns & Ammo and eventually became the editor of Petersen’s Hunting in 1983. For the last thirty years, Craig has hunted around the world and his record is unassailable, taking hundreds of species on every continent except Antarctica.
David Draper
An avid hunter and accomplished writer, David Draper has traveled the globe in search of good stories and good food, yet his roots remain firmly planted in the soil of his family’s farm on the High Plains of Nebraska. As a young man, his dreams were fueled by daily trips to the original Cabela’s retail store, which stood a short four blocks from his childhood home. The ensuing years spent chasing his passions for adventure and the outdoors have taken him from the shores of Africa’s Gambia River to Alaska’s Brooks Range. He has hunted birds and big-game on five of the seven continents.
A 20-year industry veteran, Draper has worked in communications, writing and editing roles for the biggest names in the industry. In addition to bylines in scores of publications, he also served as the editor for the hunting journals of Dick and Mary Cabela and contributed to several books on the outdoors. Draper is Editor-in-Chief of Petersen’s Hunting magazine, where he also writes the Fare Game column covering all aspects of processing and cooking wild game.
Kali Parmley
Kali Parmley is the Managing Editor of Petersen’s Hunting magazine. Growing up in rural Ohio, Kali was an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending countless hours in the saddle camping along the trail with her horse, and watching her grandfather raise and train English Setters. In her early 20s, she furthered her love of the outdoors and began her hunting career.
Kali has become an avid big game and bird hunter, focusing on do-it-yourself hunts on public land. After training her own Labrador Retriever, Lincoln, to hunt alongside her, Kali travels across the United States doing what she loves: chasing wild animals in wild places.
