Maple-Whiskey Venison Marinade Recipe

Oh, Canada! Maple, whiskey and the rich umami of Worcestershire all combine to create this sweet and savory venison marinade from north of the border

Maple-Whiskey Venison Marinade Recipe

Yield: Approximately ½ cup
Total time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup real maple syrup
  • ¼ cup Canadian whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

Directions:

  1. Whisk all ingredients together until incorporated.

  2. Pour Maple-Whiskey Marinade over venison steaks in a zip-top bag. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before grilling. Be sure to reserve some marinade for basting the venison steaks as they grill.
