Stalking Fallow Deer Isn't Easy

Starting at the crack of dawn, it doesn't take long for Steele to find fallow deer. Plenty of does are on their feet and moving and he knows it's only a matter of time before he can find a buck.

But Steele isn't just looking for any buck, he's looking for a mature animal and stalking fallow deer, especially big, mature bucks, is anything but easy. The Swedish terrain makes for excellent viewing but can present challenges when stalking. With thick wooded cover intermixed with open fields, a successful stalk requires plenty of patience, planning and a little bit of luck.
