Who would expect a family of self-proclaimed rednecks to open their homes up to troubled youths?
That's exactly what Florida couple Rusty and Julie Bulloch have done, and their good deeds aren't going unnoticed. The Bullochs are the focus of a new Up TV reality series, Bulloch Family Ranch , showing what life is like for a couple with 25 kids.
This working class family consisting of Rusty, Julie and their two biological children, Amanda and Brodie, founded the Bulloch Family Ranch in central Florida, which has since proved to be a second chance for troubled youths, who in turn become family to the Bullochs. The ranch's success can't be argued, as many young men have gone on to turn their lives around for the better; among them is Claude Davis, a former gang member who, after spending time with the Bullochs, went on to become an excellent defensive end for the University of South Florida before making the New York Jets roster and ultimately landing with the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League.
Bulloch Family Ranch premiers tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern on Up TV. In the meantime, check out this preview to see what life is like with the Bullochs.
