5 Great Customization Options for Your 10/22

The 10/22 is simply the ultimate aftermarket rifle. Replacement stocks and drop-in triggers highlight a wealth of custom options on Ruger's legendary rimfire. That's why when you customize a 10/22, you're really customizing a legend.

Check out these great customization options for your 10/22:

Boyds SS Evolution

The new lightweight SS Evolution from Boyds' is an ambidextrous thumbhole stock. There is no fore-end contact with the barrel, so the stock will accept all barrel contours: lightweight, sporter, or varmint. The grip angle allows your hand to assume a natural position, and the palm swell on either side provides a comfortable grip. A ½-inch rubber recoil pad offers nonslip shouldering. The SS Evolution is made of Stratabond laminate and features a laboratory acid-based satin finish to resist chemicals and harsh weather. Price: $99

Red Jacket ZK-22 Bullpup

The Red Jacket ZK-22 Bullpup drop-in stock is one of the most distinctive stock options, and it turns your 10/22 into a short, compact bullpup. The kit accepts any standard Ruger 10/22 receiver with carbine barrel or .92-inch bull barrel, 18.5 inches or longer (the adapters are included). Features include an ambidextrous charging handle, sling point mounts, safety and magazine release, integral trigger safety, rail system for mounting optics or other accessories, and an adjustable trigger interface. A shell deflector is included for full ambidextrous use. Price: $299

Slide Fire SSAR-22

This specialized stock has to be the most fun of the bunch because it transforms the semiautomatic 10/22 into a bump-fire gun. The Slide Fire SSAR-22 kit includes an OGR stock, chassis system platform, handguard with an integrated Picatinny rail, interface block, nut retainer, hex key, and mounting hardware. Also included are a custom Slide Fire 3-pound, match-grade trigger, an A2 pistol grip, and a collapsible M4 buttstock for converting the 10/22 to a standard M4 configuration. Price: $349

Kidd Innovative Design

Kidd Innovative Design manufactures some of the most robust 10/22 triggers on the market. Their single-stage model comes standard with an auto bolt release and interchangeable magazine lever. The single-stage trigger is designed to closely match the 10/22's traditional function with a crisp, adjustable pull. Their two-stage model is one of the only two-stage 10/22 triggers on the market. Its pull has a quarter-inch of initial slack, followed by a featherlight 6-ounce break. Both trigger guard assemblies are available in black and silver. Price: $199

Jard Trigger Upgrade Kits

Choose the exact pull weight for your shooting applications with Jard trigger upgrade kits. Available in five different pull weights from 1 to 3 pounds, there's likely a Jard trigger out there to fit anyone's plinking and hunting endeavors. Jard upgrade kits are also friendly to left- and right-handed shooters, with the ability to switch the safety button so it will engage on either side of the receiver. Choose from black or silver and accessorize the trigger with spring kits to tailor the pull weight to your desired settings. Price: $220
