Top New Products from the ATA Show 2024

It is that time of year again, with new products being launched to ring in 2024. This season we scoured the show floor and are bringing you some of the top new products for the bowhunter.

Tenpoint TRX 515

The new TRX 515 has been dubbed the fastest crossbow in the world. Launching bolts at an unmatched speed of 515 feet per second, this innovative crossbow is also compact at only 29 inches long. Weighing just over 7 pounds, the TRX 515 comes equipped with a variable speed scope, three bolts, a quiver, bow hook and more. The new ACUslide MAXX allows for safe and easy cocking and de-cocking of the bow. Other highlights are the zero-creep trigger, limb dampening system, and an ambidextrous thumb safety.

Muzzy Trocar Ti

I have long been a fan of the original Trocar broadhead, an accurate and effective 3-blade design. This new Trocar Ti features adjustable, offset blades that can help to maximize tunability to ensure the best flight and accuracy. With a cutting diameter of 1.25 inches and .039-inch blade thickness, the broadhead steps up the game from the original. Designed with a center-blade retention system, the blades are sure to stay locked in position during use. Available in both variants of 100-grain for vertical and 125-grain crossbow use.

Altra Centrum Premier 166

This newcomer to the world of arrows is quickly making a splash. Built for accuracy, the Altra company is using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure ultra-straight shafts available in a variety of spines. With their “No Spine” technology, it gives the shooter more tunability with increased consistency due to their proprietary blend carbon. Available in packs of 6 already fletched or 12-pack bare shafts, ARCOS insert/outsert components and nocks, these are worth looking into in 2024.

Spot-Hogg Fast Eddie PM

The Fast Eddie has been a long time favorite for big game bowhunters. I recently used one myself on a Coues deer hunt in Arizona. This year they’ve expanded their lineup to feature the Picatinny rail mount that is compatible with Hoyt’s In-Line bow-mounting system. This new mounting option helps to improve the connection between the sight and the riser. Available in a wide array of pin configurations from single pin to as many as seven.

LaCrosse Ursa ES

Building off their launch of the Ursa MS (Mid-Season) from 2023, which I personally used all through turkey season last spring, LaCrosse Footwear has broadened their Ursa lineup. Lightweight and agile, the new Ursa ES (Early Season) is made for those early-season mountain hunts. With its EVA midsole and GORE-TEX membrane, this 8-inch hunting boot helps to have superior shock absorption while maintaining its waterproof design. Also be on the lookout for the Ursa LS (Late Season) coming this fall.

Browning Whitetail 1900

Everyone needs a good pack when bowhunting, and the Whitetail 1900 is just that. Available in both OVIX camo or Major Brown, this 1,900 cubic inch pack has enough storage to easily carry a day’s worth of gear or snacks. With a large main compartment to accommodate larger items, the smaller interior pockets are perfect for accessories. Made to be durable thanks to 550-denier nylon, it has a fully adjustable, padded waistbelt and shoulder straps.

Bushnell Bone Collector 1000 and 1800

The new Bone Collector 1000 and 1800 rangefinders come fully equipped with a multi-coated glass system that helps you get two times the brightness of other rangefinders. With their +/-1 yard accuracy even at long distances, it’s sure to provide the precision bowhunters are looking for. Available with both a 1,000-yard and 1,800-yard detection range, these one-button operation units are simple to use and incredibly reliable.

SIG is changing the game with their new Zulu6 HDX image stabilizing binoculars. Available in 10, 12, 16, and 20 power, there is a version for any hunter. With the Image Stabilization enabled, any shaking or vibration can be eliminated, allowing for quality off-hand glassing. Additionally, they have a Scan Mode, which helps while gridding new terrain, or Target Mode, which can help once you have found your quarry, increasing stability by up to 50 percent.

Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro Cellular

This new camera from Moultrie Mobile helps hunters identify and capture only the species they want to see. Say goodbye to those hundreds of pictures you have to scroll through to find your target buck. That means no more pictures of raccoons, birds or wind-blown grass. With their False Trigger Elimination Technology, it helps to intelligently identify and capture only your target species. It comes with built-in memory which helps to eliminate the need for an SD card, while images are transmitted directly to your smartphone.
