In the wake of the COVID-19, conservation groups around the country had to cancel all their in-person fundraising banquets and shows. Due to this, groups are struggling to make ends meet and precious funds for important projects were lost. Conservation groups and patrons both have been asking themselves what they can do to combat this issue.
Now, major companies in the outdoor space are stepping up and expand their licensing partnerships to contribute proceeds from sales of certain products. The Oregon based company, Nosler , has announced today that they are expanding their partnership with RMEF . With both organizations rooted deeply in the desire to protect and promote our hunting heritage, this is an exciting announcement.
Nosler has previously donated a portion of the proceeds from five Partition bullets, which have been a trusted bullet choice by elk hunters for years. As of today, the company is adding 11 loads from their ammunition line to this licensing partnership to help further support the great work that RMEF does for elk populations and habitat around the country. The new offerings include loadings from the Trophy Grade and Expansion Tip lines—some of their premier hunting rounds. The caliber choices included in the partnership are some of the most popular among hunters today, such as the 6.5 Creedmoor and .300 Winchester Magnum.
“Elk hunting has been in Nosler’s DNA for three generations. Since my grandfather founded our company in 1948, he taught my family that conservation is an integral part of our business,” said John R. Nosler, Nosler president. “Supporting the work RMEF has done and continues to do will ensure that our children and grandchildren can also experience the thrill of hearing a bugle on a crisp fall morning. Nosler, Inc. is proud to partner with RMEF and continue our shared heritage of elk hunting and conservation.”
RMEF was founded in 1984 and has been restoring, expanding and saving elk habitat ever since. With over 235,000 members and 7.9 million acres of elk habitat successfully conserved, it is easy to see why Nosler wants to help keep that momentum moving forward.“We greatly value and appreciate our relationship with Nosler,” said Steve Decker, RMEF Vice President of Marketing. “This is not just a strong commitment to hunting and the outdoors. This is a commitment to the present and future of conservation.”
This announcement should brighten the day of elk hunters everywhere. With more funding for conservation projects, RMEF will continue to lead the fight to conserve habitat for these amazing animals and other species that exist on the same landscapes. What’s more, RMEF will continue their fight to open more public access for hunters to experience firsthand the magnificence of our wild animals and places.
