One year ago, we got to see how well bicyclists get along with Mother Nature . This year, it seems skateboarders are on her hit list.
This group of downhill skaters got the surprise of a lifetime when a deer ran out onto the course, unable to avoid one of the unlucky skaters and sending he and the animal tumbling into the brush.

According to KMGH-TV , the skateboarder, 17-year-old Ryan Vitale, was taking part in the Buffalo Bill Downhill race in Golden, Colo., over the weekend. With skaters reaching speeds of up to 40 mph, the chances for wipeouts are high enough--throw in a confused ungulate and it's just begging for disaster.
"I didn't know it was coming at me. It just all happened really fast," Vitale told KMGH.
Luckily, Vitale only suffered a few scrapes from the incident, and the deer was able to scamper off, but surely both took a hit to their pride.
