New for 2018: Winchester SXP Long Beard 20-Gauge Turkey Shotgun

It was time to talk turkey when OSG senior digital editor Lynn Burkhead visited with Rafe Nielson of Winchester at Industry Day at the Range as the pair discussed the 20-gauge version of Winchester's Super X Pump Long Beard shotgun prior to the start of SHOT Show 2018.

With a nod to the company's 152 year run of tradition and innovation begun by Oliver Winchester, this pistol grip SXP shotgun sports a dipped coating of Mossy Oak's Break-Up Country camo pattern, perfect for the hunter needing to hide from the eyes of a long spurred longbeard.

Equipped with TRUGLO fiber optic sights and drilled and tapped for gobbler getting optics, the 20-gauge version of the SXP Long Beard pump shotgun features two user-interchangeable combs and height adjust spacers to help hunters dial in their aim on the glowing head of a lovesick gobbler this spring.

With Back Bored Technology and the ability to handle either 3-inch or 3 1/2-inch turkey loads, the SXP's extended Extra-Full Turkey INVECTOR-PLUS choke tube will maximize the performance of Winchester Long Beard XR ammunition in the springtime woods. Add in Winchester's INFLEX TECHNOLOGY recoil pad and those load's are tamed on the hunter's shoulder despite delivering hard-hitting results downrange when a trophy gobbler struts into shotgun range.

Add it all up and the 20-gauge version of Winchester's SXP Long Beard shotgun should help hunters issue a can't refuse dinner table invitation to plenty of tom turkeys this spring.
