Zebra Hunting the Hard Way

Zebra hunting is often done sitting in a blind or hide and watching active water holes.

But Petersen Huntin's Kyle Lamb is doing it the hard way. He's on foot and covering ground, looking for a mountain zebra in Namibia spot-and-stalk style.

Zebra hunting on foot requires you to cover plenty of ground and the Namibian desert isn't the most friendly environment. Hunting the ridge tops and keeping the wind in their favor puts Lamb and his guide in front of several zebras. There's plenty of fresh sign and previous sightings confirm they're in an area with plenty of zebras but finding one is proving difficult.

Their only option is to keep covering ground, keep their eyes open and avoid the many thorns and rocks that make foot travel difficult.
